1. What are your normal business hours?
I work out of my home so am here most of the time. (excxept when I'm out doing a wedding!!:>) The thing to remember is we are 3 hours BEHIND Calif during spring and summer and 2 hours fall and winter!! Can always leave a message and I will return your call as soon as I'm able!!
2. How do I make a appointment to obtain a marriage license??
I take care of that. Depending on where you are staying, I will make the appointment for you. All you need to do is make a copy of the application for a marriage license, which you can get off the home page of my website. Use BLACK INK ONLY when filling it out, and NO ABBREVIATIONS anywhere, and do NOT sign it. Then have $60.00 EXACT cash, a pictured ID (driver licenses, passport,state ID) and the application. Once at the appointment, if all is in tack, it will take about 30-45 minutes!!
3. Is a blood test required?
NO not any more :>)
4. Do I need to bring my divorce papers?
Only if you have been divorced within the last 90 days.!!
5. Do we have to have a witness?
NO believe it or not, it is up to the minister, and I do not require one. Often the photographer can act as a witness, if there is one, and if not we do not need to have anyone!
6. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept CASH, Visa, Master Card, Money Orders, Travelers Checks, and Persoanl check as long as they are sent before the wedding day!
7. Are my payments secure?
Yes, all of our transactions are encrypted using industry standard equipment to ensure that only we see your private information.
8. Do I have to pay Sales Tax?
If you use the credit card YES. There are other creative options!!:>)
9. Is there a "time limit" to plan a wedding?
NO Never. I have been called at 8am and performed the wedding at 11am on the same day. If I am avaiable I can have everything ready in a matter of hours! I am VERY Flexiable!!!
10. Can I wear whatever I want?
Most Definitely!! I have married hundreds of wonderful couples, wearing everything from ONLY leis, under a waterfall (yes they choose to be naked!!!) to bathing suits, parados sarongs, shorts and t-shirts, pants, jeans formal wedding dress's , tux's, suits, simi formal!! It is YOUR day, and you wear whatever YOU want. There are stores to choose some nice outfits from once you arrive, if you want more Hawaiian wear, or outfits that match, that look very nice in pictures!!
11. May we bring our own photographer?
It is fine with me. Whatever works for you!! I do have some great professional photographers, at a price of course!!
12. What if it rains?? Is there a backup?
This island gets very little rain on the "Kohala Coast" where most of the weddings are performed. IF it does rain, is usually does not last very long, and we do provide umbrellas! It is often very windy, with the beautiful "trade winds" and this is why I suggest wearing a Lei Po'o for your head, because you will not have to worry about your hair, or having it done with a head lei!!
13. Do you require a deposit?
Yes I do. To hold a date usually $100.00 is required. If you have to cancel and have a good reason, and enough "TIME" is given, I will be happy to refund your deposit!! I ask that you send a check to Cheryl Pascual and mail it to me at my address. P.O.Box 427 Paauilo,Hi 96776 Mahalo!!
14. What flowers are included in your package?
I provide 2 beautiful Tuberose Leis, with a fabulous fragrance, used for the lei exchange. Also, 2 long stem red roses for the rose exchange, and a basket full of rose petals for the heart on the ground, and the "petal throw". at the end of the ceremony!! Also, upon request you may order Maile leis, Lei Po'o (head lei) Wrist Leis, Ankle Leis and any type of bouquet that you can dream up!
15. What if I need help in finding a place to stay?
I can help you with many things. I have some great B&B's to tell you about, and also hotels, and activities! This island has lots to offer, and I am happy to share my knowledge with you! It all depends on your budget, and exactly what you want.
