Lehua
'Ohi'a lehua, the official flower of Hawai'i grows on the volcanic slopes of that island. Its pompom flower is sacred to Pele, the volcano goddess. Although red is the most common color, its flowers may also be white, yellow, and orange. One of the best site of lehua is on Maui at the Hosmer Grove or Haleakala National Park.
